We don't collect, sell, or transmit your data

Upwork Job Tracker ("the extension") is built by Fyr Studio to help freelancers manually track job postings they've applied to or saved for later. This policy explains what the extension does and does not do with your data.

What data we collect

The extension does not collect any data on our servers. We don't have servers at all — there is no backend, no analytics, and no account system.

The only data involved is what you type yourself: job titles, statuses (Pending, Seen, Applied, Dismissed), and any notes you add. This data is stored entirely on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API.

Where your data lives

• All job entries are stored locally in your browser.
• Nothing is synced to a cloud service, sent to a remote server, or shared with any third party.
• If you uninstall the extension, this locally stored data is removed along with it.
• You can export your tracked jobs to a CSV file at any time, or clear all history from within the extension.

What the extension does on Upwork's pages

The extension requests permission to run on upwork.com in order to display a small "Seen" indicator directly on job listings in your Upwork feed, so you can tell at a glance which jobs you've already reviewed without leaving the page.

To do this, the extension reads the status you've saved locally and adds a visual badge to the page — it does not scrape, extract, copy, or transmit any content from Upwork's pages (job descriptions, client information, proposals, or anything else). It also does not interact with Upwork's servers, submit anything on your behalf, or automate any action on the platform.

No remote code

All code that runs in this extension is packaged directly inside it and reviewed as part of the Chrome Web Store submission. The extension does not load or execute any external scripts, CDN-hosted code, or remotely fetched logic.

No account, no tracking

• No sign-up or login is required to use the extension.
• We don't use cookies, analytics, or any tracking technology.
• We don't know who you are, and we have no way to identify you.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date above.
